Happy Halloween!  For you trick or treat-ers here’s a treat for you.   Two weeks ago we did a family portrait session with Michelle, Jack and baby Lucus.  You may have remembered this three weeks old cutie.  Baby Lucus is now three months old and was all ready for his second photoshoot debut.  Check out his little skeleton outfit!  He had a back-up monkey suit too, but unfortunately we wore him out and the outfit change didn’t happen.  When Michelle approached us to take her family photos she wanted a Fall theme with the Fall colors.  Lucky for us it’s the season for pumpkins and we found the best pumpkin patch to work with.  It was actually the second pumpkin patch we stopped at because the first one was insanely packed with families, cars and crazy drivers!  Super glad we had the second pumpkin patch to fall back on.  It was definitely much more quiet, peaceful and infant-friendly.  Anyway, I was so excited when Michelle and Jack showed up and dressed their part for the fall/farm theme.  I didn’t expect it at all.  This is when I knew we were going to have some fun.  Actually, what am I saying… all of our photoshoots are fun haha!  We got very lucky with the weather.  It turned out to be such a nice and beautiful Fall day.  Dry and sunny, which is a rare thing in Fall!

The other day on her Facebook status Michelle exclaimed that she “loves life!”  It’s not very hard to see.  An adorable baby, a hot momma, a proud daddy and one happy family =).  It’s such an honor to be able to capture these kinds of moments and milestones in people’s lives.  It’s really one of the main reasons why I love doing what I do.

Part II of Ronelda + Dexter’s blog post – their wedding/family portraits.  Since their wedding day was a busy and jam packed day we decided to do a post wedding shoot.  This actually worked out better with the kids since it gave us more time and provided a stress-free environment for all.  We headed out to the University of Washington campus for the wedding portraits.  What I enjoyed the most that day was watching the way Ronelda and Dexter interacted and looked at each other.  They had the same look from their wedding day, full of love, joy, smiles and happiness.  Or maybe that’s how they look at each other everyday.  It’s a contagious look, one that makes me smile and happy just remembering that day.  Aren’t they just a beautiful and picture perfect family?  They also ordered a flushmount wedding album.  The album should be arriving in about two weeks and we’re ALL very excited for it!  We’ll definitely post some pictures when it gets here.

One of our sweetest couples/clients turned friends – Ronelda and Dexter got married back in June at the Renton Community Center.  It was a beautiful summer day in June.  As we all know around here summer doesn’t officially start until the day after July 4th.  The groom and groomsmen arrived to the ceremony on their bikes and the bride made a grand entrance in a 1964 Impala with the top down.  Ronelda and Dexter had a traditional Catholic ceremony combined with traditional Filipino customs, but the couple also incorporated a lot of their personalities and interests into their wedding day.  Afterwards, it was one big party with their dearest families and closest friends.  Do I really need to say more about Filipino weddings?  BTW, I’m sure I witnessed quite possibly the best cake fight ever that night and at the end of the night I packed enough pancit to last me at least three meals. =)  This has been a long overdue post, but stay tune for part II coming very, very soon!

I’m super excited to blog these pictures of my beautiful friend Tara.  Like many of my friends this year, Tara turned 30 this past August.  It’s a milestone worthy of capturing.  There’s a spot in South Lake Union I’ve been scoping out all summer long and I convinced Tara (well, it didn’t take much convincing) that we had to do her lifestyle portraits there.  The scenery was beautiful as she… and the light… the right-before-sunset light was just amazing.  I love working with natural lighting!  Since Tara happened to be little sister-sitting that day, Sara tagged along and made a little appearance as well.  Oh yea, the boat in the first picture was totally random.  We swear, teeheee!  Tara, you’ve always looked amazing and gorgeous for as long as I’ve known you… yes, even at twelve!  You’re not only a beautiful person on the outside, but even more so in the inside.  I love these pictures of you and I hope you love them too!  Looking forward to round two!
