The other day I received an email inquiry and one of the questions was whether I was male or female.  I hope this post answers that question and anyone else’s curiousity =).  I’ve been wanting to have new photos of myself taken to use for my profile (which reminds me I still need to work on).  With the weather all dreary again here in Seattle I wasn’t sure when that was going to happen since I wanted outdoor shots.  Luckily, the sun came out to play last weekend.  I wanted to take advantage of the opportunity so I grabbed my camera , told my husband he was going to be my photographer, and headed over to the UW campus.  I think UW has one of the most beautiful university campuses in the  nation.  Not that I’ve physically been to many, but I just love the architectural style at UW.  Well, I knew that the Fall colors would be in full effect right about now and thought it would be fun to have a photoshoot there.  I’m not the most photogenic person around.  I like being behind the camera more  than in front of it.  When we arrived on campus the Huskies game had just ended so there were fans everywhere.  I was bummed because I thought I’d have to pose in front of all these people walking by.  Surprisingly, the mass of people cleared pretty fast and I thought I did pretty well.  I really love how my pictures turned out.  I SERIOUSLY LOVE THEM!  I have to say that I was quite impressed with Seung.  While I was the subject of the photoshoot I initially had to direct the shoot as well.  After a few snaps Seung got more comfortable, took control and  started telling me what to do instead.  He even convinced me to roll around in the leaves and those happen to be some of my favorite ones.  Okay this isn’t a reason why I love the pictures, but don’t some of them look like images you’d find in an informational pamphlet for prospective students or something?  Due to financial struggles I never got to take real senior portraits back in high school.  I ended up at one of those one hour studio in the mall to get my yearbook picture taken and even that wasn’t cheap.  Something about these pictures… I kind of feel like they’re about ten years  late, LOL.

I just can’t make this post all about myself so here’s a picture of my lovely photographer!  I captured these while testing out the lighting.  This shoot wouldn’t have been possible without him.   Thank you for playing along with me once again =).

BTW, don’t forget to set your clocks back an hour.  Yay, for an extra hour of sleep!  As if it really matter since I sleep in on weekends anyway =P.

My younger sister is getting married!  In a week to be exact.  Elisa’s bridal shower was held at Elizabeth & Alexander’s English Tea Room yesterday in Bothell.  It’s a cute little place very fitting for the occasion.  The tea  came perfect with very yummy sides of sandwiches, fruits, crumpet, lemon curd and shortbread.  I want to give a shout out to the staffs who were super helpful and friendly.  I’m sure we were a bit rowdier than their normal everyday patrons.   The bridesmaids that were in-state to participate also did a great job planning the shower as well.  In addition to tea and snacks we also had Trophy Cupcakes!  Please try not to drool as you scroll down =)

While attempting to organize some of my pictures I came across these that I took of my nephew Eric awhile back.  I miss the little guy.  I admit I don’t spend enough time with him.  I also admit I gave his sister more attention when she was his age.  That kind of  always happen to the first born right?  Well, I dedicate this entry to Eric.  Isn’t he just the cutest nephew ever?  I think I’m allowed to be biased, hehe.  I took these pictures while babysitting him and my niece one day.  The hardest part about babysitting the brats is trying to get them to eat.  They’re always too excited for what we’ve got planned for them that eating is not a concern to them.  It worries me because obviously I don’t want them to go hungry (grandma wouldn’t be happy about that).  Anyway, I tricked Eric into eating his fish sticks by telling him he could have ice cream afterwards.  Ooops, except I didn’t have any.  Thank goodness that boy loves ice!  He was totally fine with the ice sans the cream.  He’s so cheeks-pinch-able!

Maui.  One year wedding anniversary.  A secluded corner of a beautiful undeveloped white sand beach.  Waves crashing and the sun beating down.  A Canon DSLR.  What do you do (or what do I do)?  Have a photoshoot!  Seung and I didn’t have too many beach days since it was a short trip, but on this particular beach day we had a lot of fun pretending to be swimsuit models.  It was hard to resist being where we were, hehe.  I’m glad my husband was a good sport and played along with me since I knew he was dying to jump into the ocean to play with the waves instead.  Besides, I’m sure he enjoyed being the photographer for this session.  These are my favorite set of photos from our trip to Maui earlier this summer.  I miss Hawaii!
